This garden incorporates a running stream as the main focal point.  The path to the back yard crosses the stream over a cedar bridge.

The sound of the stream helps mask the sound of passing cars and attracts wildlife including birds, dragonflies, and even an occasional late-night bathing raccoon.

Mosquitoes are not a problem thru proper design of the stream and the use of a biological filter.
